This program is designed to introduce individuals to introductory craft skills (Core), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). Once all training is completed participants will be issued a 10-hour OSHA General Industry card and NCCER CONTREN Levels 1 & 2 credentials.
This is a 10-month not-for-college credit program, and is not eligible for Pell Grant assistance. Other assistance opportunities may be available.
This workforce program is held in the evening to accommodate working students.
Entrance Requirements
- Copy of one of the following: High School Transcript/GED/Diploma
- Minimum score of 14 on the ACT OR Bronze on the WorkKeys Assessment
- Valid photo ID such as a state-issued license
